About ByUs

A fairer way for fans to support the creators they love.

Why I built ByUs

Creators do the work. They build the audience and they create the value. I built ByUs for five reasons:

Fees take too much

A fan once sent a creator friend of ours $500 in gifts, and only about $200 reached her. On ByUs, that same $500 would pay her $435–$455 as memberships or tips, or $350 as live gifts, with card processing included.

Platforms can shut you out

One rule change can cut you off from your audience overnight. On ByUs, your earnings go to your own account, and your member list is yours to download.

Algorithms hide your posts

Here, your members get an email when you post, unless they turn it off.

Nobody to talk to

On ByUs, you message me, the founder.

Creators need more than a payment button

Tools to grow, and real ways to talk with fans: messages, video calls, polls, and a dashboard that suggests your next steps.

“Platforms can shut you out overnight. I built ByUs so your members are yours.”

— Evan Ryon, founder of ByUs

What we stand for

Creators keep more

Creators keep 87–91% of memberships, tips and sales, with card processing included. The fee is shown up front and drops as a creator’s sales grow: each month’s rate is set by the month before.

The money is the creator’s

Fans pay straight into the creator’s own payout account, and from there to their bank. Creators’ earnings never sit in a ByUs account.

Fair to fans, too

Members can change tier, pause or cancel in one tap. For paid messages and video calls, a fan’s card is held and only charged if the creator replies or joins the call.

Real people, plain words

Our terms come with a short “in short” summary for every section. And when a creator wants help setting up, the founder answers personally.
