Live creator showdowns
Battle Stars
Two creators, side by side, live. 5-minute rounds. Their fans pick a side and fill their creator's power rod with free cheers and tips. Every creator keeps their own tips, win or lose.
Live now
No showdowns live right now. Turn on Live alerts and we’ll email you when a creator you follow or support starts one.
How fans join the battle
- 1
Find a battle
Look for “Live showdown now” on a creator’s page, tap a link a creator shared, or turn on Live alerts in Settings to get an email when a creator you follow or support starts one.
- 2
Sign in free
Anyone with a free ByUs account can watch, whether or not you’re a member of either creator.
- 3
Pick a side
Tap ♥ Cheer for your creator. Every tap is 1 point, up to 100 free points per side each round.
- 4
Tip to power up
Tips start at $5 and count big: $1 = 10 points. Checkout opens in a new tab so you don’t miss a second, and your tip shows in the chat.
- 5
Gold Rush
Tips and gifts in the last 45 seconds of a round count double, and the power rods turn gold, so the lead can flip right before the buzzer.
- 6
Don’t get smoked out
In the last minute, a creator with under a quarter of the points gets smoked out: smoke rolls across their camera and their tips and gifts count half until their fans push them back over the line.
- 7
Watch the buzzer
Each round is 5 minutes. Tips still going through get a 15-second final count, then the winner is called with confetti and gets a one-minute encore. Win rounds in a row to build a 🔥 streak.

Creator ranks
Ranked wins move a creator up. A round is a ranked win when fans sent at least $1 in tips or gifts during it, and it’s not a second win over the same creator within 24 hours. Every rank shows on the creator’s page and here, moves them up the board, and adds free live credit each month.

Good to know
- Do I have to pay to take part?
- No. Watching and cheering are free. Tips are always optional.
- Who gets my tip?
- The creator you tipped, win or lose. Tips are never moved to the other creator.
- What are points worth?
- Nothing in cash. Points only fill the power rods and decide who wins the round. Gold Rush points are battle points only: a $1 tip is still $1 to the creator.
- What does the winner get?
- Bragging rights, confetti and a win on their page, shown on the Most wins board here.
- What’s a ranked win?
- A round where fans sent at least $1 in tips or gifts, that isn’t a second win over the same creator within 24 hours. Ranked wins earn creator ranks (see Creator ranks above). Every win still counts on the creator’s page.
- Is it recorded?
- The showdown is part of the host creator’s live, and ByUs keeps the same private safety copy it keeps of every live.
