The ByUs features that win new members, sell more of what you’ve already made and keep members around, mostly on autopilot.
Being a creator is already a dozen jobs. ByUs handles as many of the business ones as it can, so the work you’ve already made keeps earning while you make the next thing. Here’s what’s built in today.
Turn visitors into members
- Sneak peeks: people who haven’t joined see a blurred preview of your members-only photos and videos, or the first line of a long post. Your real files are never shown.
- Free trials: give a tier a 7, 14 or 30-day free trial.
- Thank-you videos: new members see a short video from you at the top of your page and in their welcome email.
- Recommendations: point fans to up to four other ByUs creators, and they can return the favor.
Sell what you’ve already made
- Unlock one post: let non-members buy a single members-only post for $5 to $500. Members still get it free.
- Post bundles: put 2 to 50 members-only posts together, like a season or a course, and sell them for one price.
- Gift memberships: fans can give 3, 6 or 12 months, delivered by email on the day they choose.
- Group memberships: one fan pays for 2 to 10 people, with an optional group discount you set.
Let your fans grow your page
Members get a personal link to invite friends. Turn on referral rewards and fans earn free months for bringing friends who stay: 3 friends for 1 free month, 5 for 3 months, 10 for 6 months.
Keep the members you have
- Offer to stay: pick a discount, like 20% off the next 2 payments, and ByUs offers it when a member taps Cancel. It’s off unless you switch it on.
- Pause instead of cancel: members can take a 1 or 2 month break or switch tiers in one tap.
- A 7-day grace period when a member’s card fails, so a payment problem doesn’t end their membership right away.
- “We miss you” notes: three weeks after a membership ends, one friendly email shows what you’ve posted since.
- Member milestones: members of 3 months, 6 months and a year get a badge in comments, and you get a heads-up to say thanks.
The same price on every device
Fans can add the ByUs app to their phone’s home screen straight from the browser. It doesn’t go through an app store, so there’s no app store fee: a membership costs fans the same and pays you the same on any device.
Take time off without losing money
Write posts now and schedule them for later. Taking a real break? Pick the day you’re back, and monthly members aren’t charged for renewals while you’re away.
Most of these run on their own once they’re set up, and you can switch the automatic ones off any time from your dashboard.
