Tip a creator without making an account
Loved a post and want to say thanks? On ByUs you can tip with just your email. No sign-up, no password.
Tap Tip this post
Under any post on a creator’s ByUs page, tap Tip this post and pick an amount from $5 to $500.
Add your email
Type your email for the receipt, and a name to show the creator if you like. Tick the box to confirm you’re 18 or older and agree to the Terms.
Pay
Pay with Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. That’s it: no password to make, no app to download.
After you tip
You get a receipt by email. It has a link to set a password, so later you can log in to see your tips, follow creators and get their replies. The link works for 7 days; after that, use Forgot password with the same email.
Questions
Do I need a ByUs account to tip?
No. To tip a post you only need an email for your receipt. ByUs quietly sets up a free account with that email so your receipt and any refund work properly, and the receipt has a link to set a password if you ever want to log in.
How much can I tip?
Any amount from $5 to $500 per tip.
How much of my tip does the creator get?
Creators keep 87% of every tip to start, and up to 91% as their sales grow. Card processing comes out of ByUs’s share, not theirs.
Can I follow the creator too?
Yes. Tick “Follow for free” in the tip box and you’ll get an email when they share a public post or go live. You can stop those emails any time with the link in each one.
What if my email already has a ByUs account?
You’ll be asked to log in first, so nobody can attach payments to someone else’s account.
Can I join a membership or tip during a live without an account?
Not yet. Memberships and tips during a live still need you to be logged in. Making an account is free and takes a minute.
