Why I'm building ByUs
A friend of mine who's an influencer had a fan spend $500 on virtual gifts for her on another platform. After all the fees and deductions, only about $200 reached her. That didn't sit right with me. Creators do the work, build the audience, and create the value. They should keep more of what they earn. So I'm building ByUs: a simpler, fairer way for fans to support the creators they love. What's different: - The first 50 creators in the US keep 90% of every payment for as long as they're on ByUs. Everyone after that keeps 87%. - Creators get paid straight into their own Stripe account. ByUs never holds your money. - Your work stays yours. You can download your videos and your earnings history any time. - Memberships start at $8, and fans can pay yearly to save.
